Flash forward to today and she’s re-signed with the Boston Pride in the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL), worked on a broadcast team for the Washington Capitals, appeared on The Ellen Show, and much more! However, ask the Maryland native what her favorite part of the last year was and she’ll likely say returning home.
In a part of the conversation that didn’t make the final edit, Skarupa stated, “To be able to experience [the Olympic hype] in my hometown with like my teammates and all of our gold medals was … my favorite moment for sure.”

Her visit home included a great commencement speech that I highly recommend! She also got to spend some time with the Stanley Cup during the Washington Capital Championship parade.
Now that she’s back in the game, can Skarupa bring her second home of Boston a second Isobel Cup title in what will be her second full season in the NWHL? If I were a betting woman, I sure would be tempted to place my money on Haley Skarupa. That’s for sure!
